2020 Windham Geocache Adventure!

Geocaching LogoSeptember 8th - November 30th

Looking for a fun activity to try during your next hike on Windham's trails? Let’s go geocaching! Geocaching is a real-life treasure hunting game that uses GPS-enabled devices and GPS coordinates to find hidden treasures called geocaches.

We’ve hidden geocaches at four local parks and preserves: Donnabeth Lippman Park, Lowell Preserve, Mountain Division Trail, and Black Brook Preserve. Each cache contains location-specific wooden nickels. Hit the trail and see if you can find them all!

What do you need?
   -  A GPS-enabled smart phone or other GPS device
   -  Coordinates for a geocache (our caches can be found by clicking here)
   -  Suitable footwear and clothing for the terrain
   -  A sense of adventure!

How do I participate?
   -  Create an account at www.geocaching.com and identify the coordinates for your first cache. (Account required to view coordinates.)
   -  Find a cache and take a nickel. (1 nickel per party, please.)
   -  Once you’ve found all 4 nickels, turn them in at the Parks & Recreation office at Town Hall to receive your prize.

This program is FREE and no registration required!
