Send your child to one of our day camps this summer and give them a summer experience to remember! Campers will have the opportunity to be involved in a variety of activities including arts and crafts, physical fitness, sport skills, swimming, outdoor education, games and weekly field trips. We offer various enrollment options so parents can design a schedule that works best for their family.

(Prices will be adjusted for Week 2 to reflect the 4th of July holiday)

IMPORTANT DATES:

Monday, March 25 - Online Registration Opens for Windham Residents at 8:00am – Deposit of $150 is required at the time of registration.
Monday, April 8 - Online Registration Opens for Non-Windham Residents at 8:00am – Deposit of $150 is required at the time of registration.
Monday, April 22 - Finalized Field Trip & Enrichment Program calendar available.
Thursday, May 23 - Registration Deadline (If space allows, there will be a $30.00/child late fee charged to anyone registering after this date). Deadline to contact Social Services to be considered for Scholarship Funds.
Thursday, June 6 - All camp payments due in full.

FIELD TRIPS & SPECIAL EVENTS: Field trips vary based on camper ages, but typically include visits to area amusement parks, lakes, outdoor excursions, and more. Adventure Camp will have three field trips per week on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. Adventure Camp will also have community service days and a camper collaboration day with younger campers a few days throughout the summer, where the Adventure campers will run activities. On home days, entertainment, special events and other activities will be scheduled. All the trips and special event fees are paid for with your camp registration and the finalized field trip and special event calendar for 2024 will be available on Monday, April 22.

Adventure Camp Calendar

ENRICHMENT PROGRAMS: Beginning April 22, registration will be available for a variety of Enrichment Programs designed as add-ons to the summer camp experience. Past programs have included swimming lessons, kayak outings, MSSPA, cycling club, and more.
~ Enrichment Program information will be available online according to the grade your child will enter in Fall 2024.
~ These programs require separate registration and have an additional fee beyond the regular camp registration.
~ Enrichment Programs must be registered and paid in advance through the Parks & Recreation Office (in person or online). Camp staff cannot accept Enrichment Program registrations.
~ Please contact the Parks & Recreation Office directly for more information about these activities.

ADDITIONAL WEEK LONG SUMMER CAMPS: More information and registration will available on April 22 for all additional camps.

SNACK CARDS: Adventure Camp will not have a snack shack because they are on trips 4 days a week. However, parents can stillpurchase a snack card for their child to purchase snacks at any of the other camps on their home day. A variety of individually packaged drinks and snacks are available. Please note: snack items are not to replace snacks brought from home but to provide extra snacks as a treat for campers.
~ Snack cards are ONLY available online.
~ Cards come in $5, $10 or $15 increments with 50¢ punches on each card. Most items at the snack shack cost 50¢ or $1.
~ Campers may not purchase more than 4 items at the snack shack per day.
~ Cards will be delivered to camp on Tuesdays and Fridays; cards may not be delivered on the day of purchase, so please plan accordingly.
~ All punch cards are kept at the camps.
~ No refunds if the snack cards are not completely used up by the end of the summer.

T-SHIRTS: One camp t-shirt is provided with registration; two additional shirts may be purchased at time of registration for a fee of $15 each. Camp t-shirts are required on scheduled field trip days. Campers will receive their t-shirt(s) on the first day they are at camp.

FINANCIAL ASSISTANTS: We will not be accepting payments from DHHS or the State Childcare Subsidy Program, so we encourage families to utilize the town’s financial assistance program. Once Summer Camp registration is open, scholarships are available through Town of Windham Social Services. After registering your child(ren) for camp and paying the $150 per child deposit, you will need to complete a 2024 Summer Day Camp Financial Assistance application and schedule an interview with Rene Daniel by calling 892-1906. Once the scholarship is applied, the parent/guardian will usually have a balance due prior to camp starting. If the scholarship covers the total cost of camp, the $150 deposit will be refunded. All financial assistant applications are due by Thursday, May 23.

PAYMENT PLAN: We now offer a new type of payment plan; however, all payments are due by June 6th with no exceptions. There is an 11-week period when registration opens on Monday, March 25, until final payment is due on Thursday, June 6. We can set up an account payment plan (APP) for you that will automatically charge the credit card on your account. The frequency of payment plans can be set every week, bi-weekly, or monthly, but please note there is a 3% convenience fee charged on every payment made. We are unable to set up a payment plan on your account using different payment methods, but you may create your own payment plan and stop into the office at your convenience to make partial payments up until payments are due in full on June 6.

WAITING LIST: If camp is full, please add your child(ren) to the waiting list. If we are able to add more campers into camp we will contact you by phone. The number of campers is based on the number of staff and transportation, and we will do our best to take as many campers as possible.

2024 Adventure Camp Membership is an addition to camp registration and is REQUIRED before checking out. Additional camp forms can be found below.
