We anticipate many phone calls and emails on the morning of registration. If you are unable to register your child for camp, it may be because camp has already filled (camps can fill up within 10 minutes). IMPORTANT REGISTRATION INFORMATION:
  • Registration opens for Windham Residents Only on Monday, April 14 at 8:00am.
  • DEPOSIT UPDATE - A deposit of $50 per week/per child is required at time of registration.
  • Camp is based on the grade your child will enter in Fall 2025 (on your account, your child's grade should be set to what grade they are in now. Grades will automatically role up June 1st.)
  • Changes in camp registration for this year are designed to provide the easiest way for families to register while providing the department staff with the best method for tracking registration. Changes for 2025 include the following: 
    • Must register each child for each week they will be attending camp. Summer Day Camp is now only allowing weekly registration.  Please note there are no part time or daily options for Summer Day Camp.
    • If you are registering for Extended Day, add on the Extended Day option for each week for each week once you reach the "add-on product" screen;  otherwise you will be registered for Regular Day only! Fee will be added to your account as soon as we can. If you miss this step, please call or email the parks & recreation office to adjust the fee.
    • There will be no additional questions asked during the registration process. After securing a spot for your child(ren) in camp, a link to a Google form will be sent to registered participants. This form must be completed for every child who is registered for camp and is due by the registration deadline on Thursday, May 29th.
  • We anticipate all camps will fill prior to the registration deadline, but please add your child(ren) to the waiting list if needed for every week you would like them to be enrolled.
  • Families will be contacted by phone when/if there are openings available. Please note we accommodate as many families/campers as possible based upon transportation, staff and facilities.

  • Monday, April 14 at 8:00am – On-line Registration Opens for Windham Residents (refer to FAQ's for detailed information about registration) – Deposit of $50 per week required at time of registration
  • Monday, April 28 at 8:00am – If space allows, on-line Registration Opens for Non-Residents – Deposit of $50 per week is required at time of registration
  • Thursday, May 29 by 4:00pm – Registration Deadline
  • Thursday, June 5 by 4:00pm– All Payments Due in Full

TIMES:    Regular Day:  8:30 am – 4:00 pm         Extended Day:  7:30 am – 5:30 pm
 
WEEKLY RATES:    Regular Day:  $200 per week         Extended Day:  $255 per week

Please Note:
  • No other registration options are available, and do not pro-rate any weeks.
  • Prices will be adjusted for Week 2 to reflect the 4th of July holiday.
  • Register only for the weeks your child will be attending camp so we can accommodate as many campers as possible.
  • If registering for Extended Day, add on the Extended Day fee for each week when you reach the add-on product screen, otherwise you will be registered for Regular Day only!
  • A $200 discount will automatically be applied if registering for all 7 weeks.

PARENT & CAMPER HANDBOOK: Please read through the handbook for important camp information and changes for 2025! Information includes camper readiness skills, how to receive camp updates, field trips & special events, enrichment programs, what to bring to camp, drop-off and pick-up procedures, field trip policies, emergency procedures, behavior and discipline policies, and more!

CAMP T-SHIRTS: Camp t-shirts are required on scheduled field trip days and one camp t-shirt is provided with registration. One additional shirt may be purchased at time of registration for a fee of $15. No additional t-shirts may be purchased after the registration deadline on Thursday May 29. Campers will receive their t-shirt(s) on the first day they are at camp. To purchase an additional T-shirt be clicking the link below!

SNACK CARDS: Discover Camp will have a snack shack at camp that is open during designated times on home days. Parents can purchase a $10 or $20 snack card to purchase a variety of individual packaged drinks and snacks. Snack items are not to replace snacks brought from home but to provide extra snacks if campers run out or as a treat for campers. Snack cards may be purchased throughout the summer. FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE: Payments from the State Childcare Subsidy Program will not be excepted, so we encourage families to utilize the town’s financial assistance program, administered through Windham Social Services.

Prior to Summer Camp registration opening on Monday, April 14, anyone needing financial assistance must complete the 2025 Summer Day Camp Financial Assistance Application and schedule an interview with Rene Daniel by calling (207) 892-1906. Social Services will notify the parent and our department about what percentage of the total camp fee recipients qualify for (25, 50 or 75%). The parent must contact the Parks and Recreation Office prior to Thursday, April 10 to notify us of your desired enrollment option. Camp registration will need to be completed on Monday, April 14 and the deposit must be paid. Once the scholarship is applied, the parent/guardian may have a balance due prior to camp starting, and a payment plan will be established according to our current payment plan policy. Please call the office at 892-1905 with any questions you may have about this new process.

PAYMENT PLAN: We require a deposit of $50 per week/per child at the time of registration. Deposit is non-refundable after the registration deadline on May 29th.
 
There is an 8-week period when registration opens on Monday, April 14, until final payment is due on Thursday, June 5. If you need a payment plan, we will set up an account payment plan (APP) for you that will automatically charge the credit card on your account. The frequency of payment plans can be set every week, bi-weekly, or monthly, but please note there is a 3% convenience fee charged on every payment made. Please contact the office after you have registered your child and have paid the $50 per week deposit to set up the payment plan.
