Fall Foliage Scenic Gondola Ride - Loon Mountain • Register • View Cart •

                          Cross the Treetops          
Load the White Mountain Express Gondola and travel 1,738 vertical feet to the summit of Loon Peak. While you ride, you'll cross into the White Mountain National Forest and be surrounded by beautiful mountain peaks and spectacular fall foliage.

Herbert's Observation Tower & Boardwalk
climb 3 stories of stairs to reach the top of the Herbert's Observation Tower. From there, you can see for miles in every direction. From Mount Washington to Moosilauke and the Presidential Range, take in the views of over 24 of New Hampshire's 4,000+ foot peaks.

Not feeling the climb?
Walk along the wooden boardwalk and nature path that surrounds Loon Peak. Take in the expansive mountain landscapes at two viewing platforms; or stop at the interpretive panels and learn about the local animals, plants and environment.

Relax at the Café.
Perched 2,733 feet above sea level at the top of the Gondola, the Summit Café offers indoor and outdoor seating making it the perfect spot for a little light refreshment.

Itinerary
  • We will call a day or 2 before to set up pickup time and location.
  • You will be transport you to Loon Mountain. Approx. 1.5 hrs.
  • Were we will drop you off in front of the lodge.
  • There is a short but steep walk up to the gondola.
  • There are multiply gondolas each seating 4 people. Gondola ride approx. 12 minutes
  • This will transport you to the top of the mountain where you will see spectacular views.
  • You will have time to walk around at the top, there is also a cafe at the top.
  • After returning down we will walk to the Black Diamond Pub for a wonderful lunch before returning home.
  • This is for people who have little to no mobility issues, and are not afraid of heights. Activity Level - Moderate.
