Many individuals with chronic pain have restricted movements, limited range of motion, mobility issues or balance concerns that can make engaging in physical activity, such as walking or using weight machines, difficult or impossible. One often forgotten option that is available is chair-based exercise. A wide variety of chair-based exercises exist. Activities can be aerobic to improve heart health, strength based to build muscle or yoga inspired to stretch the body and balance to improve confidence. A combination of the four leads to a complete workout without leaving a chair. Come join us every Monday thru Thursday for a fun filled workout, using balls, bands and weights. Many individuals with chronic pain have restricted movements, limited range of motion, mobility issues or balance concerns that can make engaging in physical activity, such as walking or using weight machines, difficult or impossible. One often forgotten option that is available is chair-based exercise. A wide variety of chair-based exercises exist. Activities can be aerobic to improve heart health, strength based to build muscle or yoga inspired to stretch the body and balance to improve confidence. A combination of the four leads to a complete workout without leaving a chair. Come join us every Monday thru Thursday for a fun filled workout, using balls, bands and weights. Once all teams have registered, the schedule will be emailed to coaches and will be available on our website.

Kids in grades K-5, join Windham Parks & Recreation for fun no school days and school vacation days with games, crafts and trips to local destinations like Smitty's, Spare Time and Seacoast! We’ll start off most days with gym games, crafts and outdoor play at the Town Hall gym and park. We will have lunch and head out to the local destination for the afternoon!Location: Windham Town Hall GymTime: 9:00am - 4:00pm Fee: $50 per person/per dayLunch/Pack: Please bring a cold lunch, water bottle, sneakers for gym games & appropriate clothes for outside play. Join Windham Parks & Recreation for Family Trivia Nights through out the school year! Families of all ages are invited to join us on select Friday nights from 6:00-7:30pm for fun trivia competitions. Snacks and drinks provided!Is there a specific trivia topic? Trivia in October will be Halloween themed and December will be Holiday themed! Stay tuned as we announce more trivia nights throughout the school year!How will Trivia work? There will be a variety of ways we will play, including naming the characters, answering audio questions and naming specific food and treats. Trivia will consist of 4 rounds, with each team receiving 4 index cards and pens to write their answers down. At the end of each round, teams will turn in their answers and we will score them. We will go over all the answers at the end of each round. Will there be prizes? Yes!
