Spring Session
In this program, children learn foundation science and find out how STEM is at work in the world around them! They learn about the animal kingdom, both on land and under the sea. They make mixtures and explore the science of motion and energy. They also discover the technology that powers our modern world. Classes: All About Animals, Energy Burst, Get Connected, Life in the Sea, Mix it Up, Moving Motion, Radical Robots, Super Power Sources

Dates: Wednesday's, April 3rd - June 5th
(Exclusion dates - April 17th, and May 22nd)
Time: 1:15 - 2:15pm
Location: Manchester School Music Room
Fee: $115 (8 classes)
Registration: February 20 - March 31st

If space allows, a late fee will be applied if registering after the registration deadline.

Mad Science Program Policies
  • If an in-person class is cancelled due to inclement weather or other unforeseen circumstance, we will either schedule an additional class at the end of the session or tack on a double session at the end of the program.
  • No cash refunds will be provided if there is a cancellation of a class due to the COVID. In lieu of a cash refund, Mad Science will provide either a program credit or the option to receive the take-home that would have been offered as part of the class.

Additional Program Information
  • Informational email will be sent to parents before each program session begins. Your email must be on your account and opted in to email notifications to receive the information email.
  • Please be aware of any exclusion date(s) the program may have.
  • Send a note or email to your child's teacher giving them permission to participate in the program.
  • Children will be dismissed directly from their classroom to the Music Room at the end of the school day.
  • The program ends at 2:15pm each week. Plan to come to the Music Room to pick up your child and sign them out with the instructor.
  • Manchester and SACC staff will receive the roster for each session so they are aware of the change in dismissal for each child.
  • If your child is absent from a class, please notify the Parks & Recreation office by phone or email.
  • If your child can no longer attend the program and you need to cancel, please contact the Parks & Recreation office so we can accommodate anyone who might be on the waiting list.
