Join Windham Parks & Recreation for a self-guided Full Moon Snowshoe Hike!
On February 12th, Windham families are invited to grab your snowshoes and head outdoors to enjoy the winter full moon. Join us to explore local trails and experience the beauty of winter in a whole new way!
Youth and adult snowshoes are available for loan through our office, and we’ll provide you with trail suggestions. Spend time as a family while enjoying Windham's great hiking trails under the beautiful moonlight!
When: Wednesday, February 12th
Where: Any trail in Windham; we encourage you to visit a new location! Donnabeth Lippman Park, Lowell Preserve, Mountain Division Trail, Black Brook Preserve, East Windham Conservation Area & more await.
What: First 15 families to register receive a free “moonlight snowshoe kit” with head lamps and hand warmers! Everyone who registers will receive snowshoe hiking tips and activity suggestions.
Do you need to borrow snowshoes? Snowshoes may be checked out from the Parks and Recreation office Monday and Wednesday 7:00am-5:00pm, Tuesday 7:00am-5:00pm, and Thursday 7:00am-4:00pm. Due to the popularity of the snowshoe loan program, we encourage you to call ahead.
