Many individuals with chronic pain have restricted movements, limited range of motion, mobility issues or balance concerns that can make engaging in physical activity, such as walking or using weight machines, difficult or impossible. One often forgotten option that is available is chair-based exercise.
A wide variety of chair-based exercises exist. Activities can be aerobic to improve heart health, strength based to build muscle or yoga inspired to stretch the body. A combination of the three leads to a complete workout without leaving a chair.
Come join us every Monday &/or Wednesday for a fun filled workout, using balls, bands and weights. Every ability level welcome!

Mondays -       
Focusing on strength and endurance
Wednesdays - Chair Yoga & Pilates, focusing on balance, flexibility and range of motion.       


Dates: Session I:   May 6 - August 26
            Session II:  September 9th - December 30th 
            Session III: January 6th - April 30th  
** November13th & 27th will be held at the Public Works building.

***Jason Adour PT at Maine Strong Balance Center will be joining us January 15th to give advice and answer any questions.

Fee:         $5 Drop In
               $21.25,$17 or $12.75 per month 
                (depending on number of weeks in month)


What to wear:
Light fitting closed easy for moving in

What to bring: Water and a towel
